Jacquie was recognized at work as a very conservative individual who had a great work record. The Human Resources director claimed that this is important because according to some of the most recent alcoholism statistics and facts, the long term effects of alcohol not only diminish an individual's health, but they can also devastate most, if not all meaningful relationships the problem drinker may have.

Jacquie thanked the Human Resources manager for his uplifting and motivating words and then took the elevator to the company employee's assistance program go over her DWI arrest, her involvement in abusive and excessive drinking drinking over the weekend, and her wish to retain a DUI lawyer to represent her "drunk driving" case. After reflecting on Jacquie's narration, the counselor that was part of the company employee's assistance program went over Jacquie's immediate "plan of action" that she needed to address and follow.
